「瑞昱半導體股份有限公司前於2005年間，對晨星半導體股份有限公司提出專利侵權民事訴訟、民事假扣押及相關專利舉發等多項案件；晨星半導體股份有限公司並隨即對瑞昱半導體股份有限公司有侵權疑慮產品提出專利侵權民事訴訟、民事假處分、專利舉發案件及相關刑事告訴等多項案件。雙方對該等爭議之立場雖有歧異，然本諸以和為貴，共維和諧商機之旨，已於日前就該等爭議達成和解，並各自撤回所有相關民事、刑事及專利舉發案件。」

In 2005, Realtek Semiconductor Corp. (“Realtek”) filed civil actions against MStar Semiconductor Inc (“MStar”) for patent infringement and provisional seizure before the district court and filed patent invalidation actions before the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office; MStar then filed civil actions against Realtek for patent infringement and provisional disposition before the district court, criminal actions before the district attorney office, and patent invalidation actions before the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office. Despite both parties’ different standpoints toward the abovementioned disputes, for the sake that “Harmony is precious” and to mutually create harmonious business opportunities, both parties have settled the said disputes, withdrawn any and all pending civil and criminal actions as well as all pending patent invalidation cases.
